During this year’s Piernikalia festival, representatives of YUFE NCU had the opportunity to present the Young Universities for the Future of Europe (YUFE) initiative carried out at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń to the academic community.
As part of the event, students also took part in a vote to choose the official YUFE NCU mascot. Participants could choose between two candidates – a squirrel and a duck.
After counting all the votes, the results were as follows:
- squirrel – 57%
- duck – 43%
Although the squirrel won the vote, the great engagement of participants and the enthusiasm for both mascots led us to decide that both characters would officially become the mascots of YUFE UMK.
