The Vice Rector for International Relations at Nicolaus Copernicus University, Magdalena Barwiolek, is attending the 2026 Annual Conference of the European University Association (EUA) in Istanbul.
Representing Rector Andrzej Tretyn, she participated in the EUA General Assembly, where key decisions were made regarding the financial and strategic plans for the coming year.
The conference gathers more than 430 participants from 41 countries, creating space for dialogue on the future of higher education in Europe. In the opening panel, Ekaterina Zaharieva from the European Commission highlighted the importance of ensuring that Europe remains an attractive destination for researchers.
The event features a diverse programme including lectures, webinars, panel discussions, and collaborative exchange.
