Doctoral Training

Postdoctoral Training and Development
We have launched an ambitious YUFE4Postdocs training programme funded by Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant under the Horizon Europe programme. Fifty-five talented postdoctoral researchers have been appointed at YUFE universities to carry out research addressing urban challenges and opportunities.
(Faculty of Humanities) is investigating the links between social media exposure and face perception.
(Faculty of Chemistry) is working on the use of fluoropolymers and advanced carbon-based nanomaterials for anti-icing and piezoelectric coatings for wind turbine blades — such as how to prevent aircraft propellers from freezing.
(Faculty of Biological and Veterinary Sciences) is developing a nanocomposite using advanced nanomaterials for sustainable agricultural applications (Nano for Wellbeing). His research explores how to enhance soil fertility and carbon sequestration to ensure sufficient food supply for a growing global population.
Professional Development Courses

YUFE Academy
A series of free open lectures and workshops organized both online and on-site by universities within the YUFE network. These events are aimed at local communities, including young learners as well as students and staff at universities. Most lectures are conducted in English, but some are also available in other languages, including Polish, German, Spanish, French, Greek, Croatian, Finnish, and Dutch.
